MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISIONS

Auto, Tractor Trailer, School Bus, Railroad Crossing, Pedestrian, Police Chase Claims, which according to the unique facts of each case, may have involved:

  • Violations of Federal Motor Carrier Regulations pertaining to equipment standards, driver condition and/or weight limits


Violation of The Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices

  • Negligent design of highway
  • Negligent control of traffic during construction of highway improvements, Negligent timing of traffic signal
  • Permitting contractor to leave low shoulders and construction hazards unguarded
  • Violation of design standards with respect to curb radius, super-elevation, guard rails
  • Negligent placement of traffic signals
  • Negligent placement of opposing left turn lanes to the right of opposing left turn lanes on high speed 4-lane highway

  • Blocking vision at grade crossings by parking freight cars on sidings adjacent to crossing involving double “main line” crossings (CSX/Norfolk Southern)
  • Sight distance obstruction with vegetation
